Mortal Kombat 11 Gets A New Ranking Mode Tomorrow

Mortal Kombat 11 was released back in April for the Xbox One, PS4 and PC, the Nintendo Switch version was released a few weeks later on the 10th of May. The game was developed by NetherRealm and published by Warner Bros.

Mortal Kombat games down the years have proved to be hit and miss but 11 has gone down a storm with most fans. The biggest complaint regarding this years game has nothing to do with the actual game play and everything to do with unnecessary grinding and evil microtransactions.

Thankfully MK11 is getting an update tomorrow in the form of ranked, competitive matches via the Kombat League. This new ranked mode will be seasonal, with each season lasting four weeks. Players will have a chance to rank up through the nine tiers on offer. You’ll start out as an apprentice and battle your up to Elder God.

Each new unlocked rank will earn players some exclusive in-game items. You’ll keep these items even if you drop in rank too. Daily and seasonal quests will also give players a chance to earn some more in-game loot.

NetherRealm has also optimised the games matchmaking system to give everyone a better chance of been paired against players with a similar skill level.

What do you think Kombat fans, are you looking forward to this update. Please leave any thoughts you have in the comments below.
