EA Play To Join Forces With Game Pass Ultimate At No Extra Cost

EA Play will join forces with Game Pass Ultimate later this year at no extra cost to members.

Game Pass And EA Play

EA Play, formally know as EA Access on consoles and EA Origin on PC, is joining the Game Pass Ultimate family later this year. So if you’re playing on the Xbox One or have Game Pass for Windows PC, EA Play will be added to the service at no additional cost.

The subscription service from EA currently has around 60 titles. This includes the likes of Fifa 20, Mass Effect, Battlefield, Need For Speed and Titanfall. Along with some smaller titles like the brilliant A Way Out. EA Play costs €4.99 on its own and is excellent value for money. Especially if you’re a fan of EA’s work.

Unfortunately we have no official date when the two subscription services will be joining forces. Hopefully sooner rather than later though. We might see it launch when the Xbox Series X and S hit the shelves on November 10. Although I am hoping it’s a lot sooner than that.

Phenomenal

This is brilliant news, Game Pass Ultimate is already a phenomenal service. Adding a sleuth of EA’s finest titles to it is just the icing on an already delicious cake. Even if you’re not a fan of EA, there is no downside to this. It just means your Game Pass Ultimate subscription is even better value for money.

This is another major win for Microsoft in my eyes. EA Access was up and running on the Xbox One before Game Pass was even a thing. And remember, Sony opted against putting it on the Playstation 4 initially before finally backtracking.

As the next gen quickly approaches, Microsoft are getting all their ducks in order. They are putting games and the player at the centre of everything they do. They already have the best online gaming infrastructure with Xbox Live. The best gaming subscription service with Game Pass and on November 10, to top it all off, they’ll once again have the fastest, most powerful console ever made. The future is very bright for Xbox and its players.

But what do you think? Are you already an EA Play member? Would this encourage you to join Game Pass Ultimate? And will you be picking up a Series X or S this November? Please feel free to leave any thoughts you have in the comment below.
