Need For Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered Coming In November

Need For Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered has just been announced. The classic arcade style racer from EA will release on November 6 for the Xbox One, PS4 and PC. The Switch version will release on November 13.

This news comes to us thanks to a recent blog post on ea.com. Follow the link to find out everything that the remaster will have to offer. Thankfully, Need For Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered will support cross play on all systems. So no matter what you play on you’ll be able to compete against your friends.

NFS Hot Pursuit Remastered will also come with all the main DLC included. The SCPD Rebel Racer Pack, Super Sports Pack, Armed and Dangerous Pack, Lamborghini Untamed Pack and the Porsche Unleashed Pack. The game will also feature new Achievements, car colours and an updated photo and gallery mode.

Of course, a remaster of anything wouldn’t be worth its salt without a total overhaul of the graphics. Need For Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered will be fully 4K@60fps on PC. On the Xbox One X and PS4 Pro players can choose from either 4K@30fps or 1080p@60fps. The base consoles will run it at 1080p@30fps. The Switch docked runs at 1080p@30fps or 720p@30fps undocked.

Across all platforms expect to see updated textures, enhanced lighting and better draw distances. Unfortunately, we have no information on a next gen version but hopefully EA will share more on that in due time.

So another classic from yesteryear is getting the remastered treatment. Need For Speed Hot Pursuit was an all out action racer ten years ago and was both a critical and commercial success. If done right, this remaster will get a lot of folks excited and might just prove to be a hit for EA all over again.
