Dirt 5 Delayed Until Early November
Dirt 5 has been officially delayed until early November. However, it’s new release date might just make it a launch title for the Xbox Series X.
Dirt 5
Earlier today Codemasters, via their official Twitter account, announced that Dirt 5’s launch has been put back until November 6. The game was initially due out on October 16. You can check out the Tweet below.
Its new release date of November 6 is also the rumoured release date for the Xbox Series X, with the Playstation 5 set to drop a week later. Of course, we have still have no official confirmation from either Microsoft or Sony as of yet. So please take this information with the obligatory grains of salt.
Smart Delivery
But, if the Xbox Series X does land on November 6, the machine will now have a brand new launch title to add to its roster. Thankfully though, Dirt 5 will be part of Microsoft’s Smart Delivery programme. So if you’re planning on buying Dirt 5 at launch but not picking up a next gen console till next year. You’ll be able to upgrade at no additional cost. Same goes for the Playstation 4 and 5 versions.
Unfortunately, Dirt 5 being pushed back also means we will have to wait a little longer to get the full car and track lists. As well as what features we can expect to find in both the multiplayer and next gen versions. Although Codemasters have already confirmed a 120fps mode for the Series X and Playstation 5.
Dirt 5 is due out on November 6 for the Xbox One (hopefully the Xbox Series X too), Playstation 4 and PC. The game will hit Google Stadia sometime next year. If you pre order the Amplified Edition you can play three days early on November 3.
What do you think? Will you be picking up Dirt 5 in November? Are you hoping it’s a launch title for the Xbox Series X? Please feel free to leave any thoughts you have in the comments below.
