Release Date For The Resident Evil 3 Demo Revealed

Great news Resi fans, Capcom have finally revealed the date for the Resident Evil 3 demo. The Resident Evil 3 remake is one of the most highly anticipated games this side of the summer. Resi 2 was an incredible experience and this looks even better in my opinion.

The Resident Evil 3 demo will go live on the 19th of March and will be available on the Xbox One, PS4 and PC. That’s Thursday people. In the demo you will play as Jill Valentine, and Capcom have said that the demo will be a “slice of the full game.

I’d imagine this means the demo will differ from the Resi 2 demo. That demo, if you remember back, was a one shot affair which only lasted for half an hour and was confined to the police station. A “slice of the full game” sounds to me that we might see more than one area this time around. And hopefully we’ll get to play through it more than once. We certainly don’t have to wait long to find out.

Capcom also revealed a few details regarding Resident Evil: Resistance. This is a new four player co-op mode. In this game type players will have to work together and survive traps and monsters set out by a player controlled Mastermind. There will be an open Beta for Resistance launching on the 27th of March.

Resistance will replace the current Mercenaries mode. It will launch inside Resident Evil 3 when the full game comes out on the 3rd of April.

The Resident Evil 3 remake looks incredible. I can’t wait to get my hands on it and give it a blast. Capcom have promised a more action-oriented experience than the Resi 2 remake and that’s cool with me.

But what do you think Resi fans? Will you be getting the demo the instance it drops. And more importantly, will you be picking up Resident Evil 3 on April 3rd? Please let me know in the comments.
