The Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remaster releases tomorrow the 31st of March. Of course we still have no official announcement from Activision but that might come later today. Remember Warzone was only officially revealed a day before it went live on all systems.
This unofficial confirmation comes after numerous rumours and leaks about its existence began to surface online over the last few weeks and months. Only last week data miners discovered hidden files in the latest PC update for Modern Warfare. These files contained information regarding new bundles, pricing and some images for the Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remaster. For more info on that leak follow the link here.
Improved Warfare
A Playstation Store listing in Germany has confirmed that Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remaster will cost €24.99. The store listing also contained screenshots and a trailer for the 2009 classic. The new remaster will have improved animations, textures, physical rendering as well as HDR lighting.
MW2 Campaign Remaster is set to release tomorrow on the Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Modern Warfare 2, in my opinion, is by far and away the best campaign that Call of Duty has to offer. I think it still stands as Infinity Wards finest hour. But only including the campaign and not the multiplayer might be a massive turn off for a lot of people.
I know Activision plan on releasing more of the MW2 multiplayer maps to last years Modern Warfare. They don’t want to split their community and I can understand that. But would you be prepared to pay €25 for a game that’ll take you about five hours to complete. A game that, lets be honest here, has very little replay value and one that most Call of Duty fans have already finished. Please feel free to let me know what you think in the comments below.
