Halo Infinite’s Campaign Will Support Local Split Screen And Online Co-op

343 have confirmed that Halo Infinite’s campaign will support both local split screen and online co-op.

Infinite

Earlier today, Jerry Hook who is head of design at 343, confirmed via their Twitter account that Halo Infinite’s campaign will be playable with friends both online and off.

As you can see from the Tweet. The campaign will only be two player split screen if you’re playing it locally. But up to four people can team up and take on Master Chief’s latest adventure online.

Although four player split screen would of been nice I’m not surprised it’s limited to just two. Unfortunately, while the Tweet confirms split screen for the campaign. We still have no news on whether Halo Infinite’s multiplayer will allow for local split screen action.

Actually, we have no news whatsoever regarding Infinite’s multiplayer at all. However, and take this rumour with a grain of salt. There are reports doing the rounds that Infinite’s multiplayer will be completely free to play. We’ll have to just wait and see if that turns out to be true.

Regarding Halo Infinite’s campaign though we do have a few details. It’ll definitely be the biggest Halo adventure to date. There is also some speculation out there suggesting that the game is completely open world. However, this has yet to be confirmed. We also know that the Halo Infinite campaign is set to be with us for the next ten years.

How this will work I’m not to sure. But I hope it’s doesn’t become a live service game like Destiny or Anthem. I’ve nothing against those games but I don’t think that style of storytelling would suit Halo.

But what do you think, are you a fan of local multiplayer? What did you think of Halo Infinite’s gameplay reveal last week? Please feel free to leave any thoughts you have in the comments below.
