Cyberpunk 2077 Delayed By A Further Two Months

Cyberpunk 2077 has been delayed for a second time. CD Projekt RED’s massive open world sci-fi RPG, was originally due out in April. It was then put back to September and will now be released on November 19 for the Xbox One, PS4 and PC.

Delayed

This sad news comes to us via the official Cyperpunk 2077 Twitter account. First and foremost, CD Projekt RED apologised for the delay. They are fully aware that gamers are very excited about exploring Night City and discovering everything it has to offer.

CD Projekt Red also stated, that although the game is finished in terms of content and cut scenes. The team would like more time to iron out the bugs and balance the game mechanics. In fairness to CD Projekt RED, they want to put out a game that meets the highest of standards, just like The Witcher 3. So, if that takes another two months of development, so be it.

Next Gen

Another delay to one of the years biggest games is certainly a pain in the ass. But considering the state of the planet at this moment in time, I suppose it’s only to be expected. Two months, at the end of the day, is not the biggest of delays.

With the game now due out on November 19, it’s going to be hitting the shop shelves pretty close to the expected launch window of the Xbox Series X and the PS5. We know Cyberpunk 2077 will be getting a next gen patch, but I wonder if said patch will now be available at launch. I doubt it, but i’ll keep my fingers crossed anyway.

What do you think of Cyberpunk 2077 getting delayed again? Are you happy to wait, knowing that when Cyberpunk finally arrives, it’ll be the best game it can be? Do you think the next gen patch will be available at launch? Please feel free to leave any thoughts you have in the comments below.
