Ubisoft Forward Is A Digital Only Event Coming July 12
Ubisoft Forward is coming on July 12. Ubisoft have promised “exclusive game news, reveals and more” will be shown in this digital only event.
No E3
As everyone and their dog is aware right now, Covid-19 has caused havoc with every industry around the world and the gaming scene is no different. Countless shows such as E3 and The Tokyo Game Show have already been cancelled. And while these massive events have gone. Publishers and developers are still looking at ways to showcase their new games that’ll be hitting a console or PC near you in the not to distant future.
Only last week, Microsoft gave us a taste of what to expect on the Xbox Series X with its Inside Xbox digital only show. That event gave us a sneak peak at Ubisoft’s own Assassins Creed Valhalla but now its Ubisoft’s turn to take centre stage and reveal everything they have to offer in the year ahead.
Ubisoft Forward
So what can we expect to see at Ubisoft Forward on July 12. For a start I think actual gameplay from Assassins Creed Valhalla is a certainty. I’d also love to see more of Watch Dogs: Legion and the much delayed Skull And Bones. Hopefully, we’ll get to see a bit more of God And Monsters too. Ubisoft’s new open world adventure game was revealed at last years E3 event and we’ve seen nothing from it since.
Ubisoft have previously announced that Rainbow Six: Siege will be coming to next gen machines. We might get more news on what exactly their plans are for Siege on the PS5 and Series X. Will it be getting a next gen overhaul? And if so, will it be part of Microsoft’s Smart Delivery program so existing players on the Xbox One will be able to upgrade for free, just like Assassins Creed Valhalla.
With a bit of luck, Ubisoft might even announce a brand new IP or two. But for now at least, we’ll have to just wait and see what Ubisoft Forward will bring us come July 12.
Will you be tuning in on July 12? What games would you like Ubisoft to showcase during the event. Please feel free to leave any thoughts you have in the comments below.
