The Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remaster Releases Tomorrow On Xbox

After a month of exclusivity on the PS4, the Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remaster finally releases tomorrow on Xbox One and PC.

If you have already pre-ordered the game you can install it now and be ready to rock and roll for when it goes live. If you are interested in picking it up. The Modern Warfare Campaign Remaster will cost you $19.99 and weigh in at around 44GB.

The remaster has been handled by Beenox. The Canadian based developer was acquired by Activision back in 2005 and has worked on numerous titles for them down the years. This includes porting a multiplayer only version of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 to the Xbox 360 and PS3.

Beenox’s remaster will contain improved textures, animation, physically based rendering and HDR lighting. The game preforms well on both the PS4 Pro and the base hardware. Considering the extra horse power the Xbox One X has over the PS4 Pro. I’m hoping that Beenox can deliver a stable 60fps experience on Microsoft’s enhanced hardware. Maybe at a higher resolution too. I expect the base Xbox One will run the Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remaster at 900p. But we’ll have to wait and see. Hopefully they can get it running at 1080p, while keeping the 60fps gameplay.

One Of The Best

I’m half way through last years Modern Warfare and I’m loving the campaign so far. It’s extremely hard hitting, gripping, and in places very emotional. I’ve not spent a lot of time with COD games since Modern Warfare 3 on the 360 all those years ago. But playing through the recent Modern Warfare story has brought back some fond memories of playing the epic campaigns of both the original and MW2 back in the day.

Modern Warfare 2 is in may peoples opinion, and rightly so, one of the best campaigns of any Call of Duty game. But I already own a copy for my 360 and I’m in no rush to go out and buy it again anytime soon. But if you’ve never played it, and if you want to experience one of the best Call of Duty campaigns out there. For $19.99, you simply can’t go wrong. It’s a classic.
