Cyberpunk 2077 Will Be Accessible To All

Cyberpunk 2077 from CD Projekt RED will be released on the 16th of April next year. The game is already looking to be a contender for Game Of The Year. I’m pretty sure it’ll be a straight fight between it, and Naughty Dog’s The Last Of Us 2 for next year’s crown. But building an open world game, especially one with heavy RPG elements, can be a turn off for some folks.

CD Projekt RED understands this and they plan to make Cyberpunk 2077 as accessible as possible for everyone who wants to set foot in Night City.

In a recent interview with wccfTech, Alvin Liu from CD Projekt RED talked about how they plan to make 2077 welcoming for everyone. Follow the link to check out the full interview. If you’re counting down the days till 2077 arrives you really need to check it out.

In the interview Liu explains that 2077 will be as easy or as difficult as the player wants to make it. Options is the name of the game here and CD Projekt RED understand that having the game play out in mostly first person will present problems for some that are not used to or good at FPS titles.

Alvin Liu had the following to say during the interview when asked if 2077 had different difficulty settings.

Yes, of course, of course. The most fun one I think will be the Hardcore setting where we turn off the UI you live as well. And that will be a real challenge for a lot of players. Also, at the same time, if you want to play more casually for the story and maybe you’re not experienced with shooters, which was a real big concern for us. We want to tell a story and maybe you’re a big fan of The Witcher and you’re not comfortable playing a shooter, we have settings available for that.

Liu also goes on to state that 2077 will have a “smart gun” which will help with aiming for those who are not as experienced as others in the FPS space.

This is all great news in my opinion as it means everyone can enjoy the game no matter your skill levels.

But what do you think folks, are you happy CD Projekt RED have added thsee difficulty levels or will you be sticking it on Hardcore mode from the word go. Please feel free to leave any thoughts you have in the comments below.
