Battlefield V’s Summer Update Is Now Live On Xbox One

Battlefield V’s Summer update is now live on Xbox One, PS4 and PC. The update, which was promised by EA earlier this year includes a host of fixes, new weapons, two new maps and a whole lot more.

Summer Update

For most Battlefield V players, the biggest addition will of course be the two new maps. The first of these maps is Al Marj Encampment. This is an infantry only map set in Libya and promises both long range and close quarter combat depending where you are on the battlefield. This is a 64 player arena for Conquest and Breakthrough. Although there is also additional configurations for Team Deathmatch and Squad Conquest.

The second map on offer is a redesigned and expanded version of Provence. The map has been extended to include the farm land and also the area on the outskirts of the town. Again, this is a 64 player map, but it will allow for land vehicles in both Conquest and Breakthrough modes.

In addition to the new maps. Battlefield V’s Summer Update will also include six new vehicles, nine new weapons and three new types of grenades. All this content will be given to players as login rewards if they sign into Battlefield over the next few weeks. But, later this month, all these items will revert to the Company and will only be available to purchase with Company Coin.

EA are certainly adding a lot of new content here. As this is the final major update coming to Battlefield V, I suppose going big is the only way to go. But what do you think?
