Burnout Paradise Remastered Is Coming This March

Burnout Paradise was developed by Criterion Games and published by EA back in January 2008. Back then Paradise was a pretty big deal thanks to it been set in a massive, beautiful open world littered with cities, towns, open roads and mountains. This remastered version of Burnout Paradise will hit the shop shelves on the 16th of March for the Xbox One and PS4. The PC version will arrive sometime later and it will be exclusive to the EA Origin store. Unfortunately for Nintendo fans, the game has yet to be announced for the Switch. If you subscribe to EA Access on Xbox One, you can get your hands on this a little bit earlier, as there will be a ten hour trial coming on the 9th of March.

EA have announced that Burnout Paradise remastered will run in 1080p on both the Xbox One and PS4. No information was given regarding frame-rates for the base systems but the game will run in glorious 4K at 60fps on the Xbox One X and the PS4 Pro. There will be eight DLC packs included with the remastered version, Legendary Cars, Burnout Paradise Toys, Burnout Bikes, Cops and Robbers, Boast Specials, Burnout Party, Big Surf Island and Cagney. In fact, the only DLC pack not to be included in the new remastered game will be The Time Saver pack.

Ben Walke, EA's community manager, also stated earlier today on Twitter that there won't be any additional paid for content coming for Paradise. This tweet was sent out after the listing for Paradise on the store mentioned "In-game purchases optional". I think it's for the best that EA cleared this up right away after the nonsense surrounding Star Wars: Battlefront. This is Ben Walke tweet in full.

Just a heads up, but the store listing for #BurnoutParadise that mentions "In-game purchases optional" is an error. There is no MTX or any additional paid for content. Pitch forks down please.

Pitch forks down indeed. What do you think folks, did you play the original back in the day and is this remaster something you might pick up. Please feel free to leave any Burnout thoughts you have in the comments below.
