Titanfall 2

Today EA has announced that it is working on the sequel to the Xbox and PC 2014 hit Titanfall.  To no ones surprise at all, its to be called Titanfall 2.  The announcement came via its YouTube channel in the form of a very short Trailer.  Although everyone already knew that this was in development, EA have remained pretty silent over the last few years regarding its follow up to its jetpacking and Titan smashing original.  The games development is again being handled by the very talented team at Respawn Entertainment.

To be honest, the trailer itself has very limited information in it, but it does tell us that the game will get its proper first game play trailer at its worldwide reveal on the 12th of June, this is of course the same day as EA's pre E3 briefing, and that the game will make its way to the PS4 this time around after the original was a console exclusive for Microsoft.

There are also some rumours knocking around the Internet that this time around the game will offer a full single player campaign as opposed to the campaign just been nailed on to the side of the multiplayer as it was in the first title.  The development team at Respawn has grown over the last few years so that might lend itself nicely to this rumour.  The game still has no official release date, but id imagine we will see it roughly this time next year.

Excellent, that's all I have to say.  Titanfall was a total blast, great 6 v 6 action mixed with enemy AI and of course the brilliant Titans.  It was a game with nicely balanced game play and maps, it was let down a little by a limited number of weapons and a lack of any real progression system but it delivered where it mattered and that was in great action on the battlefield.
