I've being playing consoles since I was 7 years old. My first machine was an Atari 2600, for the life of me I can't remember where I got it from but from the first time I played it I was hooked. After this I managed to get my hands on Sega Master System, from there a Mega Drive, SNES and on to the original PlayStation. It was when I got the PS1 that I started to buy gaming magazines, this was back in the mid nineties, I was a young teenager then and when I got a bit of pocket money I would spend it on PLAY magazine for the PlayStation every month, I loved the game reviews, previews and the news about the industry in general, I was already hooked on games and now I was getting hooked on finding out as much news and information as possible about the machines I wanted to buy and the games I wanted to play.
Today we have the Internet, we have all the information we might want about the games we want to play, and over the years my appetite for gaming news has not gone away, I've read thousands of articles on upcoming consoles and games since the dawn of the Internet, I love this industry, I love the fact that it has grown from the humble beginnings of machines like the Atari 2600, to the current batch of machines that we see today, the fact that the games industry is worth more money than the film and music industries put together shows how far it has grown and matured, I've been lucky, I got to watch it grow.
Over the years I've played countless amounts of games, some good, some bad and some that have taken my breath away, I've also considered countless opinions, some I agreed with and some I that I didn't but over the years I've also formed a lot of my own opinions and that's what this blog is all about. This industry has given me so much, I'd like to give a little back.
